Certain documents are generally not allowed for Remote Online Notarization in the state of New York are Last Will and Testaments, Powers of Attorney, Pour-Over Wills, Living Trusts, and documents for use outside the U.S. (with some exceptions). Also excluded are true copies of vital records, court-issued documents, Certificates of Naturalization or Citizenship, Declarations of Intention to Become a Citizen, and documents where the notary has a significant financial interest.
